engine removal...

so, the engine is out and i have a lot more work to do including chafe protection, LED lights on the masthead and making the holes in the bottom go away

shanti update

well, work on shanti proceeds at a snail's pace but i have one of th v-berths cut out to make room for my new 13 gallon holding tank and whenever i hit a snag on that i work on getting the engine pulled out. meanwhile shadow lounges on the fordeck like the bum he is.

where it all begins

so here i am writing my first post from inside shanti's main salon (ha ha!), even though she is still on the hard ie sitting in the parking lot of skagit valley college's marine tech department (see top pic). i'm going through her electrical system and removing the Detritus of 20 years of shoddy wiring. i just went to the seattle boat show and made some connections for cheap sailcloth so that i can repair her sails and make her look like the photo on the right again. i can't wait to get her in the water and move on board.
